Labels: India
posted by Eva at 3:20 am
We are four writers — two Brits and two Canucks — journeying together on the road to publication. Since we started this blog, two of us have made it!
Synopsis:
Agnes Frump has spent every moment of her thirty-one years outrunning her horrendous moniker. But push-up bras and hip music producing jobs can’t undo her orphan Annie red hair and Alfalfa freckles—nor can they make her best friend, Dillon McKenzie see her as anything but his buddy.
A midnight walk, a fateful fall, the discovery of a magic lamp, and Aggie's priorities shift...click to read more.
Awarded 4 1/2 stars by The Romance Studio, a 5-book rating from The Long and Short of It blog, and voted "Favorite Book of the Month" and featured on the Find a Great Romance blog for the month of July.

Synopsis:
On the surface Angelo Emiliano looks more like a golden surfer boy than a billionaire property tycoon, but beneath his blond, bronzed exterior lies a heart of ice. Abandoned as a baby and brought up in a convent orphanage, he has fought for everything he owns. The only people Angelo hates more than idle, privileged aristocrats who have had everything handed to them on a plate are idle, misguided eco-warriors who go out of their way to make his life difficult. As far as rebellious Lady Roseanna Delafield goes, this is fairly bad news...click to read more.

I've got my party hat and am forming an orderly queue (ha, who am I kidding, I never do anything in an orderly way). But all the same I'm still very excited and can't wait for you to interview her Eva!
An interview? Oh my life.
Am also a little nervous about the party. I've got nothing to wear, haven't shaved my legs for a two weeks and will undoubtedly end up slumped in a corner saying 'You're my best mates. I love you all' in a very slurred voice before passing out.
Actually that sounds like fun. When shall we have it?
How about now (after all there's no time like the present)?! But before getting *slurred* please can you fill us in on the details...
A party? Hats? Drunken behaviour? (voice squeaky with excitement, terrified she's missing out on all the fun, please note message just left on previous post - please read - and please don't forget to invite me to the party even though I was late with my congratulatory message - well, somebody has to take holidays around here.)
Invite you to the party?? Annie, you ARE the party. Now everyone go and eat some cheese on toast to get a good lining in the stomach before this thing kicks off....
It's 4.30 am and I've been sat here all night waiting for the party to start. Have you moved it to another venue without telling me? My party hat's now wonky and my paper whistle curl out thingy has stopped curling out. I think I'll just nip to the kitchen for some more cheese on toast.
Blimey, what a night. No wonder you didn't see us Sharon. We'd all passed out under the table by midnight.
Many congratulations Imogen! Welcome to the family of HMB writers - I hope this acceptance is the first of many
Kate
Thank you Kate. I don't know if you keep a record of how many writers you've helped to publication with the '12 Point Guide'? If you do please add me to the list!
Huge Congrats Imogen and welcome to the gang!!!!
Congratulations, Imogen! It'll take a couple of weeks for the did-that-really-just-happen feeling to subside.
Congratulations on the sale, Imogen!!!! It's great that M&B have acquired another new author :-) And I'm looking forward to reading your book. Any idea when it'll be out in the UK.? Or what it'll be called?
Sue (who also has a full ms at Richmond, which the editor I've been working with says she'll be in touch about this week...eeek!)
FINGERS CROSSED SUE!! Promise you'll keep us updated...
Thanks so much Trish and Fiona. That 'did-that-really-happen-feeling' sums it up perfectly. I'm relieved to know I'm suffering from a recognised phenomenon!
Thanks, Imogen! I'll let you know when I hear.
Sue - feeling the need to check email for the umpteenth time!
